Getting your work published.
Standing between you and the successful publication of your manuscript stands two groups of people. First, there are the reviewers. The job of the reviewers is to critically examine the work in order to 1) determine if the work will substantially contribute to the field 2) decide if the rationale, methods and conclusions correlate with each other and 3) determine if the article is well-written enough to be published in the respective journal. These reviewers will send the editors their thoughts on whether the article should be published, and the editor will have the final say. Professional, comprehensive scientific editing will do more than just improve the grammar of your submission. It will increase the likelihood that your article will be accepted and receive positive reviews. As a reviewer for various journals, I can say that one of the most difficult parts of my job is trying to provide an accurate review to articles that are written by non-native English speakers. Often times, the content of the work is excellent, but without professional scientific editing the objective and the conclusions of the work is easily lost.
