Its a simple process. Simply send us an email and attach the file that you want to have edited. Tell us the page count and how fast you want it returned to you. We will send you and invoice and once the payment is completed, the editing of your document will begin. Our email address is personal.proofer@gmail.com. How much does it cost for the services I want?
The simple answer is: it depends on the service. Pricing for editing can be found here. For other services, send us an email with your project description and we will work with you to find a timeline and a price that works for your needs and your budget. Pricing can me discounted for on-going work. Please send us an email about discounts for multiple projects (personal.proofer@gmail.com)
Can I see a sample of the editing before I use the service?
Of course! Send us your entire or partial document and we will edit a small portion so you will be able to see the editing style (usually 2-4 paragraphs). If you are satisfied with the editing job, we can continue to edit the entire document to your specifications. If you need the editing to be adjusted, let us know and we can tailor the service to your needs.
How do I pay?
Making
a payment is easy. Once you have submitted your document and have
chosen the time-frame that you want you document returned in, Technical
English will send you an invoice by email. Click on the link in the
email and you will be taken to the PayPal service center where you can
either pay with your PayPal account or by any credit card, if you do
not have a PayPal account.
What if I have specific requests for my document?
We can adjust the editing style to meet your needs. Whether you need a specific format (APA, AMA, etc.) or specific English (American vs Traditional English), we can meet your needs. If you provide the journal name we can also format the document so all you would have to do is submit it online!
Do I retain the copyright for the work?
Technical English will not maintain the copyright for any of the work. Unless otherwise agreed upon, you will retain the copyright to all work and Technical English will not sell, publish or post the work anywhere else without your explicit permission.
The editor who reviews or creates your work will be the best fit to meet your needs. If you choose a specific editor, we will make an effort to meet your request. If we are unable to match you and your editor, we will notify prior to starting the work.
How do I get my project back?Can I select the editor I want to review my work?
The editor who reviews or creates your work will be the best fit to meet your needs. If you choose a specific editor, we will make an effort to meet your request. If we are unable to match you and your editor, we will notify prior to starting the work.
What if I am dissatisfied with the editing or final project?
We will make all efforts to ensure that you are satisfied with the final product. If you are unhappy with the quality of the work, or if you have questions about the returned edits, contact us and let us know. We will address your needs. If we are unable to resolve the issue and there is legitimate and substantial reason that you are dissatisfied with the work, we will reimburse your payment. Our work is 100% guaranteed.
Your work will be returned to you via email. All edits will be highlighted with MS Word track changes. You will be able to see all of the deletions, additions, format changes and comments made by the editors.
To use MS Track Changes, just open up the returned document in Microsoft Word. Under the Review tab, turn on track changes and scroll to view "Final with Markup". You will see your corrected document.

Once the project is completed, our editors are still available to answer any questions that you may have. We will answer specific questions about your documents.
